Was born in Moscow. He graduated from the Moscow Academic Art College (1990-1994) and the State Institute of Arts (1994-2000).
Abstract direction is decisive in the artist's works, and his figurative works can be called "post-abstract": in the structure, they absorbed all the artist's personal experience of working with abstract forms, and much of the history of abstractionism of the twentieth century.
Member of the Union of Artists of Russia. Laureate of the World Public Prize "Peacemaker in the field of art. Alexey Vaulin's works are in the collections of the Moscow Museum of Modern Art, the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Gorbachev Foundation (Moscow) and many others. The paintings are in collections of foundations, as well as in private collections in Russia, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and the USA.
